Why Economics and Biology should be made compulsory in the Senior Secondary Schools

Base on the fact that Civic education is made as a compulsory subject for some reasons like, to educate citizens about knowing there right and duties,  to uphold the spirit of patriotism,  values and contentment,  eradication of social vices among students and the likes.

I want Minister of education, Mallam Adamu  Adamu, should please make Biology and Economics the compulsory subjects for all students at senior secondary schools base on these  reasons:

  Economics

It will help every students to have a basic knowledge of what an economy means in helping them to prepare for speculative,  precautions and transactional motive.

To help them to inculcate the habit of saving for unknown hardship.

To have a key knowledge of preparing budget if fortunately they later hold the mantle of leadership.

To prevent against unnecessary lending of money. This will prevent them from lending 11trillion in 3years in office whereby the past borrowed 6trillion in 16years

To have a key knowledge of how to make business and by turning small goods to big one and when the result is yielding positively,  economist save money for Precautional purposes.

   Biology

If students have basic knowledge of biology,  it will help them in being hygienic at all times so that the disease like Ebola and Lassa fever and the likes will be prevented.

They know that eating nutritional foods and balance diet make someone healthy and strong.

Key knowledge of agriculture, when to plant and harvest,  how to prevent weeds,  using of fertilizers and setting up of poultry and other important things to reduce the stress they pass through in sensitizing citizens from what's bad.

There are so many pertinent purposes these two subjects can change in our lives because agriculture reflect In these two subjects,  having knowledge how to plant and harvest in Biology and how to make profit and save  for future purposes in Economics.

  Thanks.A
